LIME MORTAR TRAINING COURSES
Eden Lime Mortar in conjunction with MEA Eden’s Lime Builders is holding training days for Builders, Architects, DIY enthusiasts in the use of lime mortars.
Mike Armstrong is the Managing Director of MEA Eden’s Lime Builders, Mike started as an apprentice at 15 years old In the building trade, he is now a Master Builder with 46 years experience in the restoration and repair of Traditional buildings in Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
Mike is a Master Builder in:-
- Stonework with Lime Mortar
- Harling/ Lime dashing
- Limewash
- Repointing with Lime Mortar
- Lime plastering, (wall& lath)
- Lime rendering
- Stone slating with Lime torching/pargin
- Cobbling & stone floors
We run one day courses within Cumbria. Offering a very much hands on experience and training in the use of Lime Mortars. The application of traditional Lime Mortar /renders is the hardest discipline to master, and without instruction will result in costly failure. If preffered Mike will come to see you on site and work with you. Mike can also provide consultancy work.
